Module M-02 · Explore

The chart you need now, not the one you designed last month.

Explore answers the question you have right now: choose lines, tick metrics, set the time range - the chart updates as you click. Overlay the alarms that fired, compare per line or per customer, copy the link and send it to whoever needs to see it. The screen below is the real one, running on simulated data: go ahead and play with it.

        How it works

        Tick metrics, read the chart

        Every metric the machine reports, in a list you can search - grouped the way a maintenance engineer thinks. Tick two, the chart draws; tick a third, it redraws.

        • Different units, two axes

          Plot power in kW against motor speed in percent and Explore puts each on its own axis, automatically.

        • Any range

          Last hour to last year, this month or last, or a custom range. Zoom in on the ten minutes before a stop, step back, reset.

        • Last, average, min, max

          Choose what each point represents, and how many points you want on screen.

        • Per line, all combined, per customer

          The same metrics, sliced by the level you care about - one line, the whole plant, or one customer against another.

        • Live or historical

          Turn on Live and the chart follows the machine; leave it off and replay a shift that already happened.

        • Share the view

          One click copies a link that reproduces the exact chart - metrics, range, scope - for a colleague or for the customer.

        • Alarms on the chart

          Tick an alarm and its firing windows overlay the chart, every fire and clear in a table below. "Why did it trip at 08:20?" is answered by looking.

        • Every value has a history

          On a machine page every tile carries a sparkline; click it and its last 24 hours open on the spot. Explore combines; the tile checks.

        • Every value has a definition

          Hover a metric: gauge or counter, polling interval, valid range - and the PLC tag name, for the engineer who needs it. The full data model is on the connectivity page.

        • Your customer's supervisor

          Opens Explore in the branded portal to answer "what happened on the night shift" - without exporting anything to a spreadsheet.

        • Your service team

          Opens the same chart with the alarm overlaid and answers the support call from the desk. The −58% in on-site visits in the customer story came from exactly that.

        Questions we hear about Explore

        Do we have to build charts in advance?
        No. Explore builds them on the fly from the metrics already being collected. The views you want on every machine page are configured once per machine model - see Custom Dashboards.
        Can our customers use Explore?draft
        Explore is available to the manufacturer and admin roles today. Which parts of it a customer-role user sees is being confirmed - ask us and we will answer for your installation.
        Can we export the data?draft
        Every view has a shareable link that reproduces the exact chart. External systems pull data through the REST API on demand or via webhook.
        How far back does the data go?draft
        Explore offers ranges from the last hour up to the last year, plus custom dates. Retention beyond that is set per installation.
