Why from the machine builder

The plant has OEE software. You have the machine.

OEE tools are sold to factories, one plant at a time. Mavex puts OEE inside the machine offer: your customer opens it in your portal on day one, and you see the OEE of every line you have ever shipped, side by side.

How it's computed

Availability x Performance x Quality, from three signals the PLC already has

  • Availability Machine state

    Running time against planned production time, from the machine's own Running / Stopped / Maintenance state - the one Mavex already shows on every machine card. No manual timesheet.

  • Performance Cycle counter

    Real cycle times against the ideal cycle time for that machine model and product.

  • Quality Good / scrap split

    Good parts against total parts, from the counters the PLC already keeps.

  • OEE The figure

    One number per machine and per line, with the three components behind it, so the loss is never hidden.

That is the availability component, visible per machine, from the signals the PLC already exposes.

Common questions

Questions we hear about OEE monitoring

What does the machine need to expose for OEE?
In most cases three signals already in the PLC: a run/stop state, a part counter and a good/scrap split. Mavex reads them through OPC-UA, Modbus or MQTT without changing the PLC program.
Do operators have to enter anything?
No manual input is required for the OEE figure itself - it is computed from machine signals.
Can we compare OEE across our installed base?
Yes. As the OEM you see every machine you have sold, across every customer. Your customers only see their own machines - enforced at the data layer, not just the UI.
How long until we see the first OEE figure?
Most customers go from signed contract to live data in 2–4 weeks, including protocol setup, dashboard customization and white-label branding.
